The drama follows heroes who make their own legends in the ancient land of Arth. Lee Joon Gi and Shin Se Kyung will be the new cast members joining the upcoming season. Lee Joon Gi will play Inaishingi Eun Seom, who has risen up as the powerful leader of the east side of the continent. Shin Se Kyung will star as Tanya, who becomes one of the three powerful leaders of Arthdal as she becomes the high priest in the Wahan Tribe. The upcoming season, starring Lee Joon Gi (playing Eun Seom and Saya), Jang Dong Gun (Tagon), Shin Se Kyung (Tanya), and Kim Ok Bin (Tae Alha), takes place eight years after Tagon takes the throne. Over the eight years, Arthdal successfully suppressed the massive rebellion of the tribes slaughtered by Targon in Season 1, and the Agos finally achieved the reunification of 30 clans under the leadership of Eun Seom after 200 years. In the second season, Ta GonŌĆÖs Kingdom of Arthdal and Eun SeomŌĆÖs Ago Union will face an unavoidable great war. The new season is penned by season 1ŌĆÖs Kim Young Hyun and Park Sang Yeon and helmed by The Great Battle director Kim Kwang Sik. Arthdal Chronicles season 2 will premiere next year. Source (1)
