On Jan 31 (local time), the colorful ensembles BTS wore for their ŌĆ£DynamiteŌĆØ MV became the top-selling item at an event hosted by JulienŌĆÖs Auctions. According to MusiCares, the estimated price for the entire collection was around $20,000 to $40,000, but the actual bid that won the items was $162,500, 8 times higher the amount the organizer estimated. MusiCares began auctioning off BTSŌĆÖs MV outfits through JulienŌĆÖs Auctions via online, and the event lasted for an hour with 17 people participating. The final bid reached $162,500, and Japanese art collector Yusaku Maezawa and YouTuber HIKAKIN were the buyers. The next top seller at $96,000 was a painting of Snoop DoggŌĆÖs self-portrait dog wearing a ŌĆ£Doggy Style 25ŌĆØ gold chain signed by Snoop himself. Meanwhile, the entire proceeds from the auction will provide help to artists and music community professionals facing difficult times amid the pandemic.
