The Seoul Central District ProsecutorsŌĆÖ Office has investigated actor Ha Jung Woo, who is suspected of taking illegal propofol medication. Prosecutors questioned Ha over allegations that he illegally administered propofol, a sleeping anesthetic called a ŌĆ£milk injection,ŌĆØ at a plastic surgery clinic in southern Seoul. They specifically focused on the fact that Ha Jung Woo took propofol under two peopleŌĆÖs names, his younger brother and his manager. It was reported that he denied all charges, saying that the drug was only used for therapeutic purposes. In a telephone interview with SBS, he said, ŌĆ£There was no drug abuse, and the medical treatment in someone elseŌĆÖs name was only in accordance with the hospitalŌĆÖs request.ŌĆØ Earlier in February, Ha Jung Woo issued a statement in response to allegations of propofol usages, and explained that he only took them while receiving face scars treatment with a laser for about 10 times from January to September 2019.
