Earlier on April 21, IZONEŌĆÖs fans posted new funding titled ŌĆ£A Small Step for IZONE Relaunch, Parallel Universe ProjectŌĆØ on the crowdfunding platform Wadiz. This is a fundraising campaign by WIZONEs for the reunion of IZONE, which officially disbanded in late April. The fund became the talk of the town by garnering 1 billion KRW (about $900,995) in just 30 minutes. And eventually, after about 40 days, it created an unprecedented event in K-pop history. According to Wadiz, IZONEŌĆÖs Relaunch Funding Project is the reward-type cloud funding that raised the highest amount in Korea. Meanwhile, the latest record was 2.6 billion KRW (about $2,341,510), set by the ŌĆ£Full Moon O Sagashite OST ProjectŌĆØ in Tumblbug. IZONE was formed through MnetŌĆÖs Produce 48 in 2018 and officially disbanded on April 29th. In response, The Parallel Universe Committee, formed by WIZONEs, opened a fund to resume IZONEŌĆÖs activities. An official from the committee told DongA, ŌĆ£This is how we feel. We worked tirelessly, thinking that we can work full-time if we show good performance for two years. But one month before the contract renewal, we got laid off. The belief that the (membersŌĆÖ) contract extension will be possible if the group shows great results was the foundation of our fandom.ŌĆØ However, officials from IZ*ONEŌĆÖs membersŌĆÖ agencies shared, ŌĆ£Three billion KRW is enough to fund 1 to 3 albums. However, the possibility of this happening is nearly zero. At the time of the disbandment, all the agencies concluded after much discussion. Each agency has already made plans for its members, so altering those schedules is practically impossible.ŌĆØ ┬Ā Source (1)
